Biography
As a Paralegal at Coopers LLP, Michael Temprano combines empathy with advocacy to achieve justice on behalf of clients. Michael works with the attorneys at Coopers LLP to maximize settlements in complex personal injury, wrongful death, and product liability cases. He drafts complaints, motions, demand letters, mediation/trial briefs, and liability memos. Utilizing his research expertise, he hunts for statutes and precedents that strengthen case arguments.
Michael began his career at the firm in the Pre-Litigation department before transitioning to the Litigation team, gaining valuable insight into every stage of case development. Undeterred by a challenge, Michael blends steadfast work ethic with streamlined efficiency to simplify complex case issues. His relentless advocacy thrives under pressure. Whether it be discovery or trial preparation, Michael stays ready to deliver on behalf of clients.
A Dean’s List student at UC Berkeley with a 4.0 GPA in English and Sociology, Michael’s commitment to excellence extends from the firm to the classroom. Through UC Berkeley’s Honors Sociology program, he is currently writing his thesis “Litigating on the Public Radar: Class Action Accessibility & Transparency in California’s Northern District.” In addition to his coursework, Michael is a Legal Research Fellow at Berkeley Law’s Civil Justice Research Initiative, where he briefs SCOTUS cases and analyzes settlement distribution in federal class actions. He also serves as President of UC Berkeley’s Latine Pre-Law Society. In his free time, he volunteers at Legal Aid at Work, assisting pro se litigants with employment law matters. After graduating from UC Berkeley in Fall 2025, Michael intends to pursue law school.
Before joining Coopers LLP, Michael interned at Bay Area Legal Aid, where he assisted over 1,000 pro se litigants with various civil legal matters, increasing access to justice. In recognition of Michael’s academic excellence and community service, the Cal Alumni Association honored him as a two-time Leadership Award recipient. He is also a recipient of the Corporation for National & Community Service Certificate of Appreciation as well as the AmeriCorps Segal Education Award. Michael embodies Coopers LLP’s commitment to relentless advocacy, compassion, and justice.
